Creating an Organization
To host and manage packages on pckgs.io, you’ll need to create an organization. Your user account handles sign-in, but all package hosting features reside within an organization.
Creating an organization is free, and it immediately gives you a dedicated space for your packages.
Prerequisites
Before creating an access token, you must have:
- A registered pckgs.io user account. (If you don’t have one, see Creating An Account & Signing In).
How to Create Your Organization
- Once you’re signed in, go to Create Organization Page.
- Fill in Organization Details
Click to upload your organization’s logo. The image must be square (equal width and height) and no larger than 1024×1024 pixels. If needed, you’ll be prompted to crop it. This logo will appear on your organization’s public pages, package listings, and dashboards.
Accepted formats: PNG, JPG.
Unique name and package scope for your organization.
All unity packages uploaded to this organization must use the reverse domain name notation:
com.[org-name].[package-name]This is your organization’s unique identifier and package scope. Unity package names must follow reverse domain notation like com.org-slug.package-name.
- Display name for your organization.
This is your organization’s display name, visible publicly across the platform. It will appear on your profile, package listings, and anywhere your organization is referenced.
- Review all the details you've entered and click the button at the bottom of the page.
- Your organization has been successfully created and is now ready for use.
